Citizen Initiative for Democracy and Development- Uganda (CIDD-UG) is a Ugandan non- partisan, not for profit and Citizen-Driven Organisation founded in 2012 as grassroots initiative currently with interventions in the north, West Nile and eastern Uganda.

The organization has experienced levels of growth and development from grassroots initiative working in Bukedi sub region to serving population country wide. CIDD-UG is a registered Non-Government organization under registration Number. 1238 in accordance with the NGO ACT, 2016.

Since her inception, CIDD-UG has strategically positioned herself to become a leading institution in promoting Democracy and strategic Development designing through community mobilization and organizing, Public Policy advocacy and Citizen Capacity building for increasing citizen participation in Governance, Accountability, access to social justice and engaging in socio-economic programming such as livelihood support activities.

The organization has equally continued to create strategic collaboration and partnership among Local Governments and CSOs at Sub National, Regional and National levels with primary focus on augmenting community development initiatives and pursuing Public Policy advocacy for improved quality of lives.
